School was built around the turn of century. Many
at T's ceremony attended elementary school here
during the '50s, '60s and ''70s. In the summer T
and the Originals would play wiffle ball on the
asphalt playground. Occasionally a zackey would
be allowed to play, especially if he brought a
bat and ball. The windowed addition (rear, left)
served as a red, brick version of Fenway Park's
famed "Green Monster." When it got too
hot, everyone would relocate under the shade of
the oak tree (still standing) for games of Crazy
Eights. |
