Robert C. Brennan dies
Taught history at LHS

LEOMINSTER -- Robert C. Brennan, 67, of Leominster, died Dec. 28, 2005, in HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster, after an illness.

He was born in Worcester on Jan. 11, 1938, the son of Norman P. and Hazel D. (Paquette) Brennan and had lived in Leominster most of his life. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1956 and Fitchburg State College in 1961. He received his master's degree from Fitchburg State College in 1969.

Mr. Brennan was an educator for 37 years before retiring in 1998. He taught for two years in Shelburne Falls and then taught in the history department for 35 years in Leominster, first at Carter Junior High School and then at Leominster High School.

He was a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Church in Leominster, was a life member and former president of the Leominster Sportsmen's Club, and was a former coach in the Leominster American Little League and Leominster Babe Ruth League. He was a member of the Massachusetts Retired Teacher's Association.

Mr. Brennan is survived by his wife of 38 years, Christine L. (Ethier) Brennan; a son, Paul C. Brennan and his wife, Valerie L. Brennan, of Leominster; a daughter, Elizabeth A. DeMille and her husband, Charles W. DeMille, of Westford; a brother, Norman P. Brennan and his wife Doris Brennan of Bonita Springs, Fla., a sister, Patricia A. Boucher Schofield and her husband, Wayne Schofield, of Leominster; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster.
